No. Nothing is started, changed, or stopped without talking it through with you first. Care begins with a thorough psychiatric evaluation; if medication is one of your options, your provider explains the benefits, the risks, and the possible side effects in plain language, and you decide together. Many people want to understand their options before deciding anything — that’s exactly what the first visit is for.
Our care is psychiatric: diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing medication management. We don’t provide talk therapy in house, but we coordinate therapy referrals when they would help — so the two sides of your care stay connected rather than separate.
We care for children (6–10), adults and elders (65+) — in person in Long Beach or by secure telehealth across California. If someone’s needs fall outside what we treat, we’ll say so honestly and help point you toward the right care.
Yes. We provide secure video visits across California, alongside in-person care in Long Beach — so you can get support in whatever way feels most comfortable.
Your first visit is an unhurried conversation. Your provider listens to what you’re experiencing, answers your questions, and works with you on a plan that feels right — no pressure.
Yes. Your health information is protected under HIPAA. We use it to provide your care, bill your insurance, and run our practice — and beyond that we only share it with your written authorization, or in the narrow situations the law requires (for example, a court order or a serious safety risk). Our Notice of Privacy Practices explains each one.
Cost shouldn’t be a barrier to care. We offer self-pay and sliding-scale options, and you’ll know what your care will cost before your first appointment — ask us and we’ll walk you through what to expect.
Still unsure? A short call answers most questions — no obligation, no pressure.
We're in-network with most major plans, so care stays affordable. Not sure about yours? Verify your coverage in about a minute — or we'll gladly check it for you.
No card to hand? Just leave your name and number — tick “look it up for me” and we'll do the checking. Self-pay & sliding-scale options are also available.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
